Stevie Hammell has been called into the Scotland under-21 squad to face Poland next week.  Stevie, Motherwell's player of the year, was called up to the last Scotland under-21 squad but had to withdraw due to illness.  Hopefully he'll make his debut this time around.

St Mirren manager Tom Hendrie has slapped a £500,000 price tag on Ludovic Roy and Barry McLaughlin.  Reports last week suggested that Motherwell were preparing a £100,000 bid for the duo, but Hendrie said:
"There's no way we would let Barry and Ludo go for £100,000 - that kind of deal would never go through.  If anyone wanted them they would have to pay a minimum of £250,000 for EACH.  Barry and Ludo are still under contract and that's the going rate for a Premier League footballer."

Meanwhile, Mark Nicholls has gone to Aberdeen for a week's trial.  The Chelsea midfielder trained with Motherwell last month but BD didn't offer him a contract.

The Under-21s lost 2-0 to Celtic at Fir Park last night.
