St Johnstone won 1-0 at Fir Park this afternoon, in a match which more than lived up to it's billing as a meaningless, end of season game.  There was very little entertainment on show for the crowd of 3,195 - by far our lowest attendance of the season.  Saints' goal came after 63 mins when Sylla fired the ball low beyond Stevie Woods from around 12 yards, but other than that both goalkeepers were seldom troubled.  Another disappointment was the lack of youngsters in the starting line-up (with the possible exception of Stevie Nicholas, who did little to stake his claim for a regular first team place).  In fact, one of the few highlights of the game was the introduction of James McFadden after 59 mins, who displayed more effort in his half and hour or so on the pitch than the rest of the players put together. Oh well, at least there's only four more games like this to go before the end of the campaign.  Roll on next season!

Speaking after the game, BD said:
"I think it would have been better if we had played each other early on because we played each other a fortnight ago.  We had one or two good chances in the first half and if you had taken them then things could have been different.  But we never took our chances and in the second half St Johnstone came more into the game and in fact had better chances than we did.  I said after five minutes of the match that the first goal was going to be the winner.  But there was not a shot on goal for the first 20 minutes and that's the way things go. St Johnstone got the chance and they took it."

Davies added that he expected our crowds for be low for the remainder of the season after just over 3,000 turned up for today's match:
"It's only going to be football people who will come along now.  These people watch matches anywhere and any time and that's who we have to rely on."

Team news ahead of this afternoon's game with St Johnstone.  Scott Leitch and Benito Kemble are both doubtful and Derek Townsley is out with a calf strain, but Paul Harvey is added to the squad.
