Result: Dundee 1 'Well 0 Keith Gibson scored for Dundee after 33 minutes after a period of home pressure. Steve Woods then had an outstanding save from Cameron. Crawley was then forced into making a goal-line clearance for us. Langfield saved at John Fallon's feet late on to deny us a point. Team was: Woods, Quinn, Crawley, Forrest, Dempsie (Cosgrove), Wilson, Ramsay, Fagan (Clarke), Fallon, Nicholas, Pearson. Unused subs: Ewings, Bell and McDonald
Reports suggest that Dirk Lehmann will be offered a new contract
once he recovers from his ankle injury. The German striker, who damaged
ligaments a fortnight ago but is expected to return later this month, is on a
short-term deal which expires at the end of the season, but Pat Nevin said
yesterday: Dirk himself added:
The Under-21s lost 1-0 to Dundee at Dens Park yesterday afternoon.
The Daily Express reports that Motherwell are interested in
Le Havre striker Thomas Deniaud. He has been recommended by Deloumeaux and Soloy.
Info on him is available here
and here.
The Rumours page has been updated with a rather interesting piece of gossip...
Anyone mind if we run TWO opinion polls at once? There is a growing feeling in many quarters that the club and fans need to get together because there has been a growing rift in recent times, which was brought to a head by the ticketing arrangements for the recent home game against Celtic. Would you support an initiative to bring the club and the supporters closer together?
