The Official MFC Site confirms that admission prices for Saturday's game against Dundee Utd at Fir Park will be reduced to £8 for adults and £2 for concessions.  There are also quotes from John Boyle, Terry Butcher and newly crowned Young Player of the Year James McFadden encouraging 'Well fans to turn out in numbers for the vital clash.

John Boyle:
"It has been an extraordinary season for the club.  Despite the difficulties we have faced in the league campaign, the clubs young players have performed brilliantly at times.  They have shown that good home-grown talent is where the future of Scottish football lies.

"The club has survived some very difficult times over the past year.  No-one wanted Motherwell to go into administration but had that not happened the club would have had to be wound up.  The steps taken were very difficult but at least allowed the club to continue.

"The fans have enjoyed great results against the top five teams in the SPL and turned out in force for the cup semi-final.  Now the chips are really down in terms of the league and Motherwell  needs its fans to come out and support the club more than ever.

"This is why the club has launched this ticket initiative and we're delighted to have the full co-operation of Dundee United who are laying on free buses for their travelling support".

Terry Butcher:
"The fantastic support the fans gave us at Hampden in the cup semi-final made a huge difference to the team.  We want to see that kind of support again on Saturday."

James McFadden:
"The team needs the support of the fans more than ever on Saturday.  It is a vital match for us.  The cut price tickets give every Motherwell fan a great chance to come to the game and give us their support.  We believe we can give the fans a victory that will go a long way to making sure the club stays in the SPL next season."

Faddy has also spoken of his improved disciplinary record recently, and hopes it will earn him a starting place for Scotland in the friendly against Austria at Hampden on Wednesday:
"In the last few months, my discipline has got a lot better.  But I know I've still got a lot to do and keep improving.  I probably wouldn't have been called up if that didn't improve. I realised that I can't do that and I've cut that out of my game.  The manager has showed that he will choose people on merit and give players a second chance and I'm looking to take it now.  Every kid dreams about playing at Hampden Park for Scotland and I'm no different.  Hopefully I will get my chance to play and hopefully I will take it."

With the European Championship qualifier against Germany coming up at the end of the season, McFadden added:
"Anybody would want to play in that game because it's the biggest game you could play in, so I want to play and do well in the next few games.  If I do that, there is a big chance that I will be involved. I will train tomorrow and see what happens.  I don't know if I'll start yet. My confidence is not short, but I'm not going to be over-confident.  If I get the chance then hopefully I will take it."

Today's Daily Record contains a fairly decent report of Saturday's fiasco at Firhill.
