One of this morning's papers reports that Shaun Fagan has been offered and has signed a new two-year contact, tying him to Motherwell until 2007. Hmm...

Young David Keogh has signed a one-year extension to his existing contract, but Phil O'Donnell and Gordon Marshall have yet to sign the one-year deals offered to them.

Alex Burns (remember him?) is to be given a free transfer.

Meanwhile, Barry John Corr says he will leave the club unless he is guaranteed first-team football next season. The former Celtic goalkeeper is quoted as saying:
"If I am going to be number one, it would be great to stay here. I'm 24 now and I need games. I've waited long enough, but I've been here for two years and I've not had too many opportunities. I don't think the manager would turn to me and say I'd be the number-two keeper. He'd be more likely to say the number-one jersey is up for grabs. That is what he has always said while I've been here. He has never had a number-one keeper. Marsh and I both know who has been in favour over the past two years. Appearances speak for themselves. If the manager gives me a contract, it would have to be under the guarantee of starting because I can't afford to be a substitute any longer. Nothing has been said about a deal so far, though. We are just taking things game by game.

"Getting a few games is good, and hopefully I can get a wee run in the team now. I know I've got to do well when I get the opportunity to play and that brings added pressure. To be fair, Gordon has done really well since he came here and it has been difficult for me to get in. Over that period, he has been a great help and has encouraged me, even though I've been trying to take his place."
