4.50pm Today's result: Hearts 0, Motherwell 0. This afternoon's match at Tynecastle ended goalless, giving Motherwell their first point since the "top six" split and continuing our unbeaten record against Hearts which now stretches to five league and cup matches this season. And it could have been even better had Richie Foran not missed a first half penalty. Didn't make it to the game, but it sounded like typical end of season fare with few other incidents of real note, although Marshall apparently had a few good saves to keep us on level terms. Team: (4-4-2) Marshall, Quinn, Craigan, Partridge, Corrigan, Fagan
(Paterson 69), Kerr, Fitzpatrick, Foran (Keogh 78), Clarkson, Hamilton. Booked: Partridge, Craigan. Attendance: Scott Leitch has been added to the casualty list, and will miss our final few matches of the season with a back problem. A couple of yesterday's newspapers resurrected a story from last year linking us with Shamrock Rovers winger Paddy McCourt (20). The reserves lost 2-0 to their Livingston counterparts during the week, although due to the current injury crisis at the club, the team that was fielded included a large number of Under-19 players. Even if Celtic has won the league before the last day of the season, the trophy presentation seems certain to take place at Fir Park on May 22. Oh dear... Cast your vote in our new Opinion Poll!
