Maurice Malpas has confirmed that Shaun Fagan, Bobby Donnelly, Adam Coakley, Willie Soutar, Stephen Maguire, Dougie Calder, Mark Sideserf, Craig Brownlie, David Gormley and Alex Donnelly will all be released at the end of the season.  Kenny Connolly, Alan Martin and David Nixon have all been offered new deals.

As far as first team players are concerned, Malpas is still waiting to hear from first-team players Brian Kerr,
Kevin McBride and Paul Quinn over their contract offers.  The Express reports that McBride has been offered a new two-year deal(???) while other reports suggest Kerr could be set to sign for Hibs.  Not sure what is happening re Phil O'Donnell, but apparently he is scheduled to play for the reserves against Kilmarnock next week.


A tabloid report during the week claimed that Maurice Malpas had Jim Goodwin, a 25-year-old holding midfielder with Scunthorpe, watched a the weekend


The reserves drew 0-0 with their Rangers counterparts at Fir Park on Wednesday afternoon, in a match that saw Brian McLean return to action for the first 45 mins.  Ross McCormack also made (another) return from injury.
