Enter our new Prediction League!

We've teamed up with a number of other football websites to bring you For the Love of the Game, a new prediction/betting game which kicks off on August 11.  There is over £1,000 in cash and other prizes to be won every five weeks, and you don't have to be top of the league to win either as prizes are on offer for the most improved players.  The idea is that each website will have a separate league, so make sure you select Motherwell (not "Motherwell FC") as your favourite website when registering!

'Well captain Scott Leitch could be set to hand BD a boost by returning to the side to face Dundee United on Saturday.  The 30-year-old missed the entire pre-season campaign after undergoing a knee operation last May, but he is back in full training and a decision on his fitness will be taken later in the week.  Pat Nevin said:
"Scott has been back in training for a few weeks and the manager is hopeful he'll be able to make it for Saturday, although at this moment in time, nothing is certain.  If it was up to Scott he would play, but then he would play with one leg, so it will be a case of waiting until later on in the week before a decision is made."

Nevin refused to confirm that several changes will be made to the team which was thrashed 5-2 by Dunfermline on Saturday:
"The second-half was a definite shock to the system for us, but there is no point in burying our heads in the sand and concentrating on how well we played in the first.  Obviously, Billy has been concentrating on emphasising the positives, but he has also been working hard this week to eradicate the mistakes we made at the back.  We have a large squad to choose from now and Billy certainly has plenty of options, but he will make the decision about making changes later on in the week."

Loan signing Neil Tarrant could be set to make his first start for the club after coming on as a sub on Saturday.  Nevin added:
"Neil was impressive for Ayr in the Scottish Cup against us a few seasons ago and he certainly has a presence upfront.  The good thing about the deal was he couldn't wait to get up and join us, so I'm sure once he gets a few games under his belt then supporters will see why we signed him."
