Our old friend John Davies (remember him?) is back in the papers today having another go at the fans.  JD insists he would never play in Scotland again after the abuse he received at Motherwell.  He said:
"Falkirk and Hamilton wanted me but I had to say no. I just think the fans here are awful and I would only play again in another country. Why should I subject myself and my family to that kind of abuse. I don’t need it. And after more than 20 years in the game I’m afraid I have to say that I don’t miss it.  I do miss is the banter in the dressing room but I don't miss the weekend."

JD, who branded Motherwell fans "moronic", went on to say:
"Kilmarnock manager Bobby Williamson was right when he said a few weeks ago that the fans don't have that banter any more.  They used to shout things that were funny, even when they were being abusive. But now it is just abuse and it has become an individual and personal thing and that's just not on."
