Radio Clyde (spit!) report that Hibs are interested in Stevie Hammell. Hibernian manager Bobby Williamson has money to spend, and is looking for a replacement for Ulrik Laursen who is set to move to Celtic for £1.5m. Hammell, apparently, would prefer to stay at Fir Park but appreciates the situation the club are in at the moment and knows it is doubtful whether they could reject an offer for him.

(Thursday 1 August) announced he is to step down as general manager of
Motherwell Football Club after four years in the job. The Board of Directors and
the interim administrator are pleased Alisdair has agreed to continue as a
non-executive director and would like to thank him for the formidable
contribution he made to the club as general manager.
