Motherwell have signed Celtic midfielder Kevin McBride on a six month loan. The 23-year-old is a product of Celtic's youth system but has yet to make an official first-team appearance, although he came off the bench in last week's pre-season friendly against Newcastle. McBride is a right-sided midfielder, so I guess he'll be replacing long-term injury victim Brian Kerr, whose cruciate ligament injury will be operated on next month. Oh well, I guess I should have awarded last night's rumour a higher rating...
