Newspaper reports suggest that Motherwell have taken Australian defender Steve McDonald on trial, as part of the club's tie with Aussie side Sorrento. A Sorrento spokesman is quoted as saying: "Steve McDonald has gone to Motherwell to train. It allows Motherwell to have a closer look at Steve and we'll see if anything comes from it. It's the first move in the agreement we have struck with Motherwell and we are waiting to see how things develop" This Sporting Life article gives an update on the injury situation at the club.
