Ricky's report of the Gretna game is now available.

Mark McGhee's post-match comments were as follows:
"After we lost the goal it became a bit ragged and disjointed and wasn't all that pretty, but you take what you get.  We played the silky football and got nothing, but today we dug in, fought and scrapped and got three points.  Nine points is splendid - I didn't set any targets but if you'd said we'd have nine points after four games I'd have said thanks very much.

"I didn't think Ross (McCormack) looked as sharp; he looked like he's suffered from not playing, but he'll get another game in midweek against Raith Rovers and I've seen what he can do, so I know what's to come and we can look forward to that as we've taken another three points without Ross really firing.

"I've made progress with signings; I'm maybe meeting one or two players this weekend and still hope to do business before the deadline.  I'm waiting for some answers, I'm speaking to Rab Douglas and I expect by the Hearts game we'll have a few new faces."

Yesterday's News of the World reported that Martyn Corrigan could be set to sign for Morton in a cash + player swap deal for Cappielow midfielder Jim McAlister.

Looks like we've missed out on Lee Barnard, with the Spurs striker set to sign on loan for Crewe Alexandra instead.
