Stevie Hammell has been reported to the procurator fiscal for allegedly making racist remarks to an opposition player during yesterday's game at Perth.  The incident happened in front of a linesman and was reported to police by home supporters.  Hammell was taken to the match commander's room after the game where he was told he was being reported for allegedly making racist remarks.  He was also warned he could be charged with causing a racially aggravated breach of the peace.  The remarks came when  St Johnstone's Momo Sylla appeared to raise his hands towards Derek Adams during the first half of the match.

Speaking after yesterday's game, Billy Davies said:
"That was some advert for Scottish football. There were five goals, chances galore, a sending off, bookings and God knows everything else.  We are just delighted to come away with a massive three points. That is us into sixth place but we knew it would be very difficult to come up here and get a victory.  We saw today that they created a lot of chances - especially from free-kicks and corners where we found it difficult.  But I thought our players showed great spirit to dig in there especially after the sending off so early in the second half."

Andy Goram has reiterated that he will be quitting Motherwell at the end of the season:
"From January 1 I am free to speak to somebody and I will exercise that right.  I've not asked for a rise and all I wanted was the same money I'm on at the moment.  The club said they wanted me to stay on until I was 40 but they've only offered me a year's contract and I am 36.  But I can understand their situation as Motherwell need crowds of 10,000 to break even."

Our game at Easter Road on March 3 has been put back 24 hours and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports on Sunday, March 4 with a 6.05pm kick-off.  I guess this means another Scotland on Sunday article for me!
