Royal Antwerp striker Patrick Pascal will today arrive at Fir Park for a trial period.  Earlier reports suggested that the 26-year-old Nigerian internationalist would in fact be signing today, but the player will first have to impress Eric Black during his trial spell.  Antwerp secretary Paul Bistiaux is confident a deal will be done:
"There is interest from Motherwell in Patrick Pascal.  The player is going there on Tuesday for a trial.   They have watched him a few times in the past couple of weeks and they made a request to have him over.  As far as I am aware, it is only Motherwell interested in him, and it seems like strong interest."

More information on Patrick Pascal is available from the Official Royal Antwerp Website.

Reports suggest that Alloa Athletic's 3rd Round Scottish Cup tie against Celtic will be switched to Fir Park on Saturday, January 5.

Last night's Under-21 match against Hearts was cancelled due to a frozen pitch.  No new date has been announced.
