Ricky's report of the St Johnstone game is now available.  If you're after some festive cheer, you'd better look elsewhere I'm afraid...

The club have announced that they are set to appeal against the red card shown to Greg Strong during the second-half of yesterday's game.  Eric Black has watched video evidence of the incident and said:
"I have watched the video footage several times and I cannot see anything that would have merited a booking, never mind a sending-off," he said.  We have tried to contact the SFA today, but the office was closed.  We are now hoping that the appeals committee will take a look at the case on Friday."

Strong himself added:
"All I know is I closed the ball down at the edge of the box and ended up facing my own goal.  Their player was behind me and the referee blew for a free-kick.  Someone said he flicked a foot out at me, but he certainly never touched me and I was surprised when he was sent off.  I honestly don't know what I got sent off for.  I asked the referee and he said it was for violent conduct, but what that is I just don't know.  The linesman was about 50 yards away, the referee was five yards away and the linesman somehow saw something to get me sent off.  I just hope that they are honest with themselves, have a good look at it and realise that I didn't do anything.  They will see I am innocent and have to got to wipe it off the records."

Scott Leitch is suspended for Saturday's match against Dundee.  After his performance yesterday, perhaps this isn't such a bad thing...
