Outgoing Scotland boss has backed Eric Black to turn things
around at Motherwell, despite a stuttering start to his managerial reign.
Brown said: "Eric has a good reputation for working with young players, and already at Motherwell he's been giving some of the younger guys their chance in the first team. He's also got a lot of foreign contacts, but hopefully from a Scottish point of view, he'll be giving our own home grown players a chance rather than bringing in players from abroad."
It turns out that yet another trialist turned out for us in Monday's Under-21 game against Dunfermline - goalkeeper Francois Dubourdeau. The only information we have on him is that he was born on 04/12/80 in Angoulême (Charente), France, he is 1.83 m tall and weights 78 kg. He had a contract with Bordeaux until the end of June but was then released.
