Reports tonight confirm that we have signed French midfielder
Yann Soloy on a one-month contract with a view to a permanent deal. The
31-year-old former Le Harve player has obviously impressed Eric Black during his recent
trial period and has now been given the opportunity to secure a longer
contract. Black said: "Yann is a midfield player who can play in four or five positions. He is a very experienced player with over 100 games in the French First and Second Divisions and he brings experience to the team. What he also gives us is cover right across the midfield area and, hopefully, he can go on and improve us and take this opportunity to impress." Black also revealed that he was close to signing a new striker:
