A couple of interesting articles from today's papers.  Firstly, the Daily Rancid reports that the club are ready to offer creditors a 25p in the pound dividend - if the Court of Session in Edinburgh rules that the Inland Revenue is NOT our main creditor.  The Inland Revenue are apparently due £400,000, and under Bryan Jackson's proposal all creditors (including the nine players made redundant) would receive a quarter of the total amount owed to them, which would see the likes of Karl Ready receiving £100,000 and Eddie Forrest £22,500.  Legal approval of the club's plan within the next two weeks would lead to a creditors' meeting and a vote on the dividend on offer.

A club spokesman is quoted as saying:
"We can confirm that the administrator will seek directions from the Court of Session on the status of creditors.  The dividend the administrator will propose to creditors will depend on the outcome of that decision."

Meanwhile, the Evening Times claims that the SPL could be set to change their entry rules by insisting that every club in the top division install undersoil heating.  The cost for this is believed to be in the region of £200,000...

Regarding the knee injury that kept Stevie Craig out of Sunday's game at Firhill, Terry Butcher is quoted on the Official MFC website as saying:
"Steven did his knee on Saturday at Training a freak injury stretching for a ball his foot stuck and he’s damaged the left knee. We don’t know yet if its cruciate or cartilage he’ll have a scan this week and we’ll know better after that how long he’ll be out.  It’s a major blow for us and David Partridge has done his groin which is why he came off today."
