Today's newspapers are reporting that Wigan's bid for Ged Brannan was in the region of £100,000.
Dave McPherson is continuing to train at Fir Park but has yet to be offered a contract by the club.
At yesterday's press conference, Lee McCulloch was asked about
his start to the season:
"That's two goals in two games now and I've scored nine
so far this season. I scored twelve last year and I have a target in my mind
which I don't tell anyone, suffice to say I would like to beat last year's
total. I feel I have come back from the break feeling very fit and well after
what was by my standards quite a poor start to the season. I have just got back
from Dubai where I had a lovely warm break, but I didn't meet the gaffer
although I know he was there at the same time".
Lee was then asked about his contract situation,
to which he replied:
"I think the club has got one or two other people
to sort out first but I am not concentrating on anything else other than playing
well and scoring goals. People talked about the move that was on the cards to
Hearts and it did give me confidence when the club turned down such a big offer
for me. It doesn't concern me now and I know I said that I would like to play in
England one day but at the moment I am playing in Scotland for Motherwell and
enjoying it".
