Ricky's report of the Hibernian game is now available!

Eric Black heaped praise upon David Ferrere following his debut hat-trick:
"David has been out of football since June last year but worked exceptionally hard in training.  He had been training with Metz, my old club, when I heard about him.

"He must have questioned his own ability when he was not getting an opportunity at clubs, so he deserves great credit. There were times when he thought he would not get back into football. We looked at him, however, and decided he was certainly worth signing.

"David created the space, because it hadn't been there in the first half.  At that stage, Hibs were working hard and it was an even match.  But David came on and gave us a spark. For 35 minutes in the second half, it was as well as Motherwell have played this season."

Ferrere himself admitted there were times when he thought he would never play professional football again:
"Sometimes you do doubt yourself but I had very good people around me during that time.  Albert Cartier (Metz coach) and one of the other players were very good and allowed me to keep my fitness up in the hope that something would come up.

"I want to thank the players here for the way that they accepted me into the squad so quickly. They have made me feel really at home and I think the team spirit is great here.  I just want to try to work on what I did. I want to win games and that is all I am setting my standards at just now.  I want to thank Eric and also Albert Cartier at Metz because he is the one who told Eric about me.  I just hope I can continue to perform and play as well as I did."

This morning's papers are suggesting that former Motherwell No 2 Miodrag Krivokapic is among the front-runners to take over as manager of East Stirling.  Mio has recently returned from studying the coaching set-ups at both Red Star Belgrade and Real Madrid.

A posting to the Motherwell Mailing List suggests that goalkeeper Jon Connolly was released from Fir Park a few weeks ago.

Today's Sun carries a feature on the top 10 "Bad Boys" of Scottish football, which basically means the 10 players who have been booked and sent-off most often this season.  Three 'Well players feature in the list and there are no prizes for guessing who they are - Greg Strong, Karl Ready and Scott Leitch.

Time for a new Fans' Poll....

Derek Adams has decided to stay at Fir Park.  Are you pleased with his decision?
