Ricky's report of the Hibs game is now available.

It appears as though yesterday's victory came at a price.  Scott Leitch has damaged knee ligaments and could be sidelined for a week or two, while Derek Adams will now serve a 3 match suspension after his yellow card.  As if our midfield wasn't bad enough!

Motherwell goalscorer Shaun Fagan criticised the referee after yesterday's match, claiming there was no need for him to caution so many players throughout the 90 mins:
"It was just a battle towards the end. Once they got back into it they were launching things forward and we just had to deal with it. The back three were immense.  There were some stupid tackles but some of the bookings were a bit harsh and it threatened to get out of hand.  I don't think we've got hot heads, I just think the young boys here really want to do well, impress the gaffer and hopefully get a regular place in the team.  When the ref is flashing so many cards it puts you off going in for tackles in case you're a second late and end up in the book.

"The boys are all working so hard because we're fighting for our pride so the fact there might not be any relegation isn't an issue for us.  At worst we want to finish 11th but everyone is desperate to do well and we will keep fighting.  Anyway, you never know what might happen. St Johnstone could still go on a run and win the league, so we can't take the chance of being complacent."

Still on the subject of our disciplinary record, James McFadden believes that many of his own problems this season have been self-inflicted.  Faddy still have one more game to serve of his 4 match suspension, but is looking forward to returning to action with Scotland on Wednesday night:
"More than half of the time it's been my own fault when I've been booked but I thought those bookings against Partick were harsh - especially to get a red card so early in the game.  There wasn't much in either booking but the ref calls it as he sees it and there's not much you can do about it.  No-one likes being sent off but these things happen to you and you just have to get one with it.  It's easy to say that it was a bad sending-off but there was five bookings before that which all added up.  At the end of the day it's probably my own fault because I get myself into trouble and it does get you down.

"I'm dying to get a game and get the fitness levels back up - it's not that bad missing out until you go to the games and you have to sit there knowing you can't play.  I always enjoy playing for Scotland, whether it be the full squad or the under-21s, but this game gives me the chance to get my fitness up again.  It would be great to get to play the full 90 minutes but even just playing a part in the game will help for when I come back for Motherwell."
