9.45pm Scott McDonald made his International debut for Australia against Bahrain yesterday. Skippy played for 82 minutes of the Aussies' 3-1 win before being substituted. Looks like Stevie Hammell will definitely be on his way in the summer. The BBC report that Celtic, Hibs and several English Championship sides are interested in the left-back, while Aberdeen have already offered him a pre-contract. However the 23-year-old says he won't make a decision about his future until the end of the season. The reserves drew 0-0 away to Hearts reserves earlier in the week. David Clarkson and William Kinniburgh have been named in the Scotland Under-21 squad to play Iceland at Firhill in a friendly next Tuesday. Maurice Malpas will take charge of the side following the departure of previous coach Rainer Bonhof, and says he'd be delighted to continue in the role on a part-time basis. |
