Happy New Year to 'Well fans everywhere!

A couple of snippets from today's Motherwell Times:

  • Terry Butcher reveals that he will fine James McFadden following his booking against Livingston - Faddy's ELEVENTH caution of the season .  TB said:
"He is now one booking away from a three-match suspension.  His booking was for dissent and he'll probably get fined as well.  I've had words with him but it hasn't worked.  I think in the games since he came back from suspension there have only been two when he hasn't been booked.  I'm very disappointed with that."

  • TB also reveals that he is set to add to his squad now that the transfer window is open:
"We have got plans in place and will hopefully bring in one or two although I can't say who they are."

  • The Motherwell squad go on their winter break after the Partick match tomorrow and return to Fir Park on Monday, January 13.  Our first game after the winter break will be a Scottish Cup tie on Saturday, January 25.

Other than long-term injury victim Keith Lasley, Terry Butcher has a full squad to pick from for tomorrow's game against Partick Thistle.  Lasley has returned to training for the first time since November after knee medial ligament damage, but will not feature again until after the winter break.
