Experienced defender Steven Hammell will have to wait to make his 100th appearance in a Motherwell shirt due to a pending suspension. The ever-present twenty-year old's hopes of turning out for the 100th time against Kilmarnock next month have been dashed by the consecutive bookings he picked up against Livingston and Partick Thistle.

James McFadden has also picked up a ban, following his sending off in the draw with Thistle. McFadden is set to miss out in the respective SPL ties against Kilmarnock, Dundee United, Hibs and Celtic, meaning that he will not feature in another SPL game until March.
