Terry Butcher hopes to seal the free transfer of Nottingham Forest defender Tony Vaughan within the next few days.  The 27-year-old has returned to England after spending a few days on trial, but Butcher said:
"I hope to have it sorted by the start of next week and we will speak to his agent. Tony's keen to come up and we're keen to have him."

Meanwhile, Teletext reports that Steven Craig has impressed TB too and could also be offered a contract.

Looking ahead to tomorrow's game, TB said today:
"We haven't had a cup run at Motherwell for a long time and you always want some romance of the cup.  It's not the draw we would have liked but it will be different to a league game. There won't be three points at stake and we can just go for it."

We understand that Motherwell will be without Dirk Lehmann tomorrow.  Have a look at our Rumours page for more info.

AARRGHHH!!!  I'm sorry but due to matters outwith my control, our Forum has had to be replaced with a new version and all the old messages have been lost.  I'm afraid you might need to re-register too.
