The Dunfermline game which was postponed last December has now been re-scheduled for Wednesday, February 19 with a 7.45pm kick-off.

The Under-21s were beaten 2-0 by their Hearts counterparts at Tynecastle last night.  Motherwell now slip to 9th in the U21 league table.

'Well captain Scott Leitch believes that following the winter break, it was fortunate we were paired with another SPL side in the Scottish Cup last Saturday:
"You saw what happened to Hearts at Falkirk with that amazing result.  And, for Premier teams, most of them were playing their first game back.  This break lets you get your second wind, a bit like when you are playing in games.  But, after being off for a wee while, it still takes you two or three games to get that match fitness back.  And that's maybe where a few clubs were caught out."

Looking forward to the Killie league game tomorrow night, for which both James McFadden and Stevie Hammell are suspended, Leitch added:
"We have two out and so do they, but we are hoping to have Dirk Lehmann back.  He was injured for the Scottish Cup game and he is a major force for us up front.  Dirk is so good in the air, and you can rely on him.  So we are hoping he will be fit to play, but, of course, the final decision is down to Terry Butcher.

"It's funny how the cup often throws up results like that and they will definitely be up for this one.  It was difficult for all the Premier teams coming back after the winter break to adjust quickly for big cup games.  But thankfully we are through, and the next round has given us another tough tie.  We play Clyde away, and it will be a hard game despite everybody thinking we are pleased with this draw.  But we are aware they have been going well in the First Division and it's not an easy game, especially at their ground.  But, first of all, we have to go to Kilmarnock and, if we can start the same way we did last week, we've got a chance."
