Motherwell and Celtic STILL haven't reached an agreement over the transfer of Stephen Pearson to Parkhead.  Terry Butcher was quoted earlier today as saying:
"It's up to other clubs to decide if they want to make an offer that we accept.  I'm not resigned to anything because it's not gone through.  Stephen Pearson is still at the club so he is still a Motherwell player.  So far we haven't accepted any of the offers.

"At the moment taking players on loan is not the condition or an issue in a deal.  At the moment it all comes down to money and in the meantime Stephen is going nowhere."

A report this evening suggests that the only remaining stumbling block is an agreement on a sell-on clause.

Meanwhile, speculation continues to grow that we are interested in signing frozen out Dundee Utd defender Gary Bollan.  And Australian striker will shortly sign an contract that will commit him to Motherwell until the end of the season, according to today's Sun.
