It seems we are on the verge of signing Jim Hamilton from Livingston.  Today's Metro reports that the striker, who has also played for Dundee, Hearts, Aberdeen, Dundee Utd and Dunfermline, is close to agreeing a two-and-a half-year deal.   The 28-year-old is quoted as saying:
"I am still in the middle of negotiations with Motherwell through my agent Blair Morgan.  I did knock back an initial 18-month offer they (Motherwell FC) have since made an improved offer of two-and-a-half years. Livingston haven't offered me anything as yet, so if I go then I hope people will understand the move."

Hmm, not sure what to make of this.  I've never been impressed by the guy whenever I've seen him play, and let's face it, he hasn't been given a free transfer from half of the clubs in the SPL for no good reason.  With TB seemingly intent on signing a target man while neglecting our midfield, could we be set to become a long ball team?  I sincerely hope not.
