Yesterday's result: Dunfermline 1, Motherwell 1.

Didn't make it to East End Park yesterday, but we came from behind to grab a draw thanks to a second half equaliser from Jim Hamilton.  Sounds as if perhaps we could have sneaked all thee points, with both Foran and McDonald hitting the woodwork.  New signing Steve McGarry came on as a late substitute for McDonald.  Graeme Smith missed the game due to a groin strain - fingers crossed he's ok for Wednesday night.

Team (4-4-2): Meldrum, Corrigan, Craigan, McLean, Hammell, McBride, Kerr, McCormack,  Foran, Hamilton, Scott McDonald (McGarry 88).
Subs Not Used: Martin, Fagan, Fitzpatrick, Coakley, Darren Lee Smith, Reynolds.

Scorer: Hamilton (52).

Booked: Hammell.

Attendance: 4,961.

Terry Butcher's post-match comments were as follows:
"If both managers are unhappy with the result, then a draw was probably fair.  I'm disappointed to have dropped two points but I'm sure Jim Leishman will feel the same as well.  We played some good football and have been far worse and won.  Jim's goal was obviously not the same as last week but it still counts.  I don't think there will be many DVDs about that one."

It seems that TB also had a go at the traveling 'Well fans for allegedly abusing stand in goalkeeper Colin Meldrum:
"I wonder if the 'Well fans who were giving Colin Meldrum a hard time - and there were a few -were praising him for that save from Burchill?  Graeme Smith had a groin strain and we didn't want to risk him.  Colin came in and did a good job."

Looking ahead to the semi final on Wednesday night, TB added:
"Someone asked me if I am confident. Confident? You're having a laugh. I don't know which Motherwell team is going to turn up on Wednesday.  It's my job to make sure they do turn up against Celtic, I'm sure they will be fine and up for the game.  We didn't turn up for the final last year but we better make sure we turn up to play Celtic on Wednesday night."
