Saturday's match with St Mirren was postponed due to the Love Street pitch being waterlogged.

It seems that we've upset Aberdeen FC, and Jimmy Calderwood in particular, by turning down their request to put back this Saturday's match by 24 hours to give the Dons another day to recover from their Scottish Cup replay against Hibs on Thursday night.  Rescheduling the fixture at such short notice would cost Motherwell around £30,000 while Aberdeen stand to make in the region of £80,000 from Sky from Thursday's night's live TV match, and the Pittodrie side are apparently unwilling to compensate Motherwell for the loss of revenue.

Motherwell director Stewart Robertson is quoted as saying:
"When the cup draw was made in December we got a call from Aberdeen asking if we'd switch the league game.  We told them we weren't keen because of the loss of finance.  Also the next midweek is free and their replay could have been played then. Their excuse was 'What if the weather is dodgy?'  The SPL said the same thing - January 23 or 24 would have been a better option.  I presumed it was sorted until Thursday when we were asked to switch it again at ridiculously short notice. But we'll lose at least £30,000 and can't afford that.  We'd also lose 1,000 off the crowd. We told Aberdeen we're happy to accommodate them but would want some compensation. "They won't give us a penny.  They'd make money but we'd lose out - where's the fairness?"

The referee for the Aberdeen game will be Dougie McDonald.

Reports suggest that we will play Hamilton Accies at New Douglas Park on April 8 in a benefit match for Ross McCabe, the 18-year-old who had to quit football after being seriously injured in a match between Accies and Clyde earlier this season.
