Yesterday's result: Hibernian 2, Motherwell 0.

Wasn't at the game yesterday, but it sounds as though we were crap.  After our previous humpings against Hibs this season, I suppose it was no surprise that Maurice Malpas opted to play 5 across the midfield and just Scott McDonald upfront.  As a result, we kept Hibs at bay for much of the game without creating much ourselves.  Apparently we only carved out one decent chance all match, with McBride having his effort blocked by the Hibs goalkeeper, but then the home side hit us with two second half goals to leave us still looking for our first SPL win of 2007.

Team (4-5-1): Graeme Smith, Corrigan, Craigan, Reynolds, Murphy, Darren Lee Smith (Molloy 46), Kerr, Fitzpatrick (McBride 59), Foran, McGarry, McDonald.
Subs Not Used: Meldrum, McCormack, Keegan, Kinniburgh, Quinn.

Booked: none.

Attendance: 14,280.

UPDATE: Ricky's report of the Hibs game is now available.

Maurice Malpas' post-match comments were as follows:
"There was never going to be many chances in this game, our 'keeper Graeme Smith had little to do and their young 'keeper had nothing to do.  But we missed the one good chance we had and then they ran up the park and we went to sleep.  It wasn't a great game but we were here to get points.  We kept our discipline and shape well but the downside for us was that we were poor in possession."

Friday's Sun reported that Brian Kerr is being tracked by Dutch side Willem II.  The Motherwell midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season.

Scott McDonald has vowed to stay at Fir Park until the end of the season.  The Aussie striker, who had a transfer request rejected at the start of the season, said:
"As far as I am concerned I am still at Motherwell, it's nice to be linked to other clubs but my focus is to do my best for Motherwell.  During the transfer window I have never given a thought about leaving.  As far as I'm concerned I am still at Motherwell.  It's nice to be linked to other clubs but my focus is to do my best for Motherwell.  I just want to score as many goals as I can from Motherwell and get us higher up the league table."

The Aberdeen game postponed from last week has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 13 at 7.45pm.

The Sunday Mail reports that Gretna still plan to groundshare at Fir Park next season if they win promotion, but at least three other SPL and two First Division sides have also offered the Borders side the use of their grounds.

Phil O'Donnell (remember him?) has suffered a setback in his bid to recover from the Achilles injury which has kept him out since the third game of the season.  Maurice Malpas is quoted as saying:
"It’s a body blow for us because we were looking to push him on, but he gets to a certain stage and gets stuck.  He’s just upped the workload recently and he’s got a sore bit, so the specialist wants another look; but with our two other long-term injuries, Brian McLean is coming on like a dream and is ahead of schedule, and Keith Lasley’s knee is coming on brilliantly too."
