Today's papers are reporting that Motherwell's administrator has
given Coventry City 24 hours to sign Eric Deloumeaux, and is prepared to let the
French defender go for half price. Bryan Jackson is desperate to get Eric
off the wage bill and while Coventry are known to be interested, they will have
to move quickly. Jackson is quoted as saying: Meanwhile, Jackson denied reports that the club have
signed Ross County youngster Darren Jack, and says that no new players would be
joining until Eric Deloumeaux is sold.
As well as the other friendlies that the club have already announced, today's Motherwell Times reports that we will also play a closed-door against Hamilton Accies on Saturday, July 13. We play the Accies again at The Ballast Stadium the following Friday.
Ex-Motherwell player Andy Dow is expected to sign for first division side St Mirren.
Well folks, this is likely to be the last website update for a while, as tomorrow afternoon Miss Lynn Thomas will be doing me the honour of becoming my wife. Thanks to those of you who have emailed me with messages of support. Hopefully the wedding will go well and the weather will be favourable! Enjoy the close season, and with a bit of luck I'll be back for the friendlies against Cardiff and Birmingham. Next time you hear from me I will be a single man no more!
Time for TWO new Opinion Polls... What do you think of the new Home and Away Strips? and Who is your Player of the Year?
