A couple of today's papers reported that we've got former Dundee Utd and Livingston midfielder Craig Easton and ex-Kilmarnock goalkeeper Colin Meldrum training with us, with a view to potentially signing permanent deals.

Our first pre-season friendly, against Queens' Park on Saturday, will take place at the Glasgow Science Centre Parks at the top of Maryhill Road (a pitch I have graced myself) with kick off at 3pm. Although the game is officially a 'closed doors' encounter, as it will take place on a public park anyone should be able to go along.

And while we're on the subject, here's yet another reminder of our pre-season schedule:

Sat July 9, 3pm - Queen's Park (Glasgow Science Park)
Tue July 12, 7.45pm - Southampton (h)
Thu July 14, 7.30pm - Clyde (a)
Sat July 16, 3pm - Everton (h)
Wed July 20, 7.30pm - Airdrie Utd (a)
Thu July 21 - Annan Athletic (a)
Sat July 23, 3pm - Queen of the South (a)

Terry Butcher last week played down speculation linking us with Shamrock Rovers' winger Paddy McCourt. TB said:
"There is nothing happening with McCourt at the moment and we will have to wait and see what might develop. I am not saying that we won't sign him as I'm still interested in him but there is no deal in place as it stands."

The Official Site contains ticket information for the Celtic match on the opening day of the season. DC Stand season ticket holders are being moved to the East and Main Stands, while non season ticket holders require a voucher from the Southampton or Everton match programmes before they will be able to purchase a ticket.

The Sunday Herald contains an interesting article on Scott McDonald.
