Despite recent speculation linking us with a whole host of players, Pat Nevin today stated there would be no new signings for at least two weeks.  In the past few days alone we've been linked with the likes of Hearts defender Grant Murray, Dundee's Steven Tweed, Aberdeen midfielder David Rowson, Reading forward Jim McIntyre and Man City defender Andy Morrison.  However, Pat Nevin said today that none of these players were likely to be joining the club:
"Billy is away on holiday in Florida, so we don't expect any new faces at the club over the next two weeks. There have been millions of names thrown up in the papers since the end of the season, but we prefer to work away quietly at bringing in players, so the names we are linked with probably are not targets.

"The two players we have brought in is just the start and Billy is hopeful of securing another three or four new faces before the start of next season."

One of this morning's tabloids reports that a move for Man City defender Andy Morrison is unlikely, after it emerged the 31-year-old was on more than £4,000 a week. Motherwell held talks with Morrison last night, but a "Fir Park insider" is quoted as saying:
"The club needs an experienced defender, but we can't afford that kind of money."
