It's all been very quiet for a couple of weeks, but one of this morning's papers finally has an update on the possible takeover of the club.  The Sunday Mail reports that a potential buyer is in talks and could be named in two weeks.  Administrator Bryan Jackson is believed to be negotiating with a local businessman, but warns that it will be a long time yet before any investment can me made in the team.  He said:
"I am talking to one or two parties but one seems genuinely interested and a deal is possible.  I hope to name a preferred bidder in two weeks.  However, there is still a long and grinding process ahead. It could be a couple of months before the way is cleared for the buyer to take over."

"I am upbeat about the situation and believe the club's supporters can feel positive. After the initial cull of playing staff there are no plans for additional cuts."

Meanwhile, Terry Butcher has returned from working as a radio pundit at the World Cup, and wants his players to follow the example set by underdogs Senegal and South Korea to survive this season in the SPL.  He said:
"It gives us a blueprint to do the same. Most people will write us off but that will give us fire in our bellies.  If the players can give me anything like the response I got at the tail end of last season I'll be delighted."
