3.50pm Rangers' fourth choice goalkeeper Graeme Smith has become our first signing of the summer when he agreed a two-year deal at Fir Park. The 22-year-old played 20 games for Ross County during a loan spell last season, and will join up with his new Motherwell team mates when pre-season training begins tomorrow. The fixture list for 2005/06 has been confirmed, and Motherwell will open the season at home to Celtic on Saturday July 30 (12.30pm, live on Setanta) before facing successive away games at Dunfermline and Kilmarnock. We're at home to Aberdeen on boxing day and away to Livingston on Hogmanay (could be a very long day!), and will face Rangers at Fir Park in the last match before the 'split'. According to Friday's Sun, John Boyle has decided to move allocate the Davie Cooper Stand to the Celtic support on the opening day, meaning that DC Stand season ticket holders will have to move to the East and Main Stands. The official line from the club is that no decision has been taken as yet...
