10.50pm Alas, the rumours are true. Season tickets will NOT be valid for the home pre-season friendlies with Southampton and Everton, mainly because the gate receipts for the first match will have to be split with the Saints, while the club are viewing the Everton game as a money maker. Instead, MFC will offer some sort of deal whereby a ticket covering both matches can be bought at a discounted price. 7.50pm Sorry, not had time for many updates recently due to a combination of work and being away at a stag weekend, but to be honest there's not been much happening anyway, apart from the following... The Official Airdrie Website reports that we will play a friendly at the Excelsior Stadium on Wednesday, July 20. This means that our pre-season schedule now looks like this: Sat July 9 - Queen's Park (a) Both Gordon Marshall and Phil O'Donnell have agreed new one-year contracts, meaning that the entire first-team squad is now signed up for next season. David Clarkson scored for Scotland's Under-21s in their 3-2 defeat in Belarus earlier this evening. Last Friday night he made a substitute appearance in the Under-21's 0-0 draw with Moldova. Stephen Craigan won his 12th cap for Northern Ireland in their 4-1 defeat to Germany in a friendly at the weekend |
