Check out this BBC article on Scott McDonald.  In it, the striker is quoted as saying:
"I've read that Hearts and Hibs are interested in me and if that's the case it would be a real honour.  I need to keep my head down, work hard and play as well as I can and show clubs that they should move for me.

"I've had a really good time at Motherwell but I just feel that it's time to press on and hopefully find a new challenge.  Missing out on the World Cup was one of the reasons for me deciding I want to leave and I feel that playing with a more high profile side would maybe help me at international level as well as bettering me as a player.  I've had two-and-half years at Motherwell and I'm very grateful to everyone at the club but just feel the time is right for me to move on."

Not quite sure who Mr McDonald thinks he is, but perhaps he'd do well to remember that he was a complete nobody until Motherwell took a chance on him.  And is it somehow our fault that he missed out on the World Cup?  Maybe it's got something to do with the fact that he's actually not good enough and was gash for the second half of last season.  Time to punt him methinks, and if he does end up moving to a "more high profile side" like Hibs(?) then it'll be interesting to see what sort of reception he gets from the East Stand on his return to Fir Park.

Stevie Hammell has rejected Motherwell's final contract offer, and will be leaving Fir Park for pastures new.  It looks as though he will be heading to Aberdeen or a club down south.  Mo Malpas is quoted as saying:
"I was comfortable with what we offered but he didn't think it was enough, and that's his prerogative.  I think he's keen to move down south. I'm looking to bring in three or four players and one of them will have to be a left back now."

Hammell himself said:
"I have a decision to stay in the SPL with Aberdeen or go south.  It is a hard one and I also have my girlfriend and son to think about.  I have spoken to Aberdeen and Jimmy Calderwood and I couldn't have been more impressed."

And in today's Sun, Hammell says he is gutted to be leaving Motherwell and admits he had become a bit stale over the last couple of years.

He's been a decent servant to the club and we wish him well for the future, as long as he doesn't sign for Aberdeen.

Reports suggest that we are interested in Southend striker Wayne Gray.  And the Daily Express says that Motherwell, Dunfermline, St Mirren and Bristol City are all interested in Jamie McAllister but have been put off by the price Hearts are wanting for him - £150,000

The Official Site reports that there will be no Open Day this year.

It's been a while since we had an opinion poll.  So here goes?
