We lost 2-0 at Dens Park this afternoon, courtesy of two Ketsbaia goals in the first 25 mins.  When I heard the half-time score I feared the worse, but from listening to the radio coverage it sounded like we were still in the game.  Ketsbaia's two goals were apparently very similar - both long distance shots - and it sounded as though Steve Woods was at fault for the first one.  Then McFadden had a penalty saved just two minutes after Dundee's second goal, Ferrere went close and Lehmann had a goal disallowed for offside.

The second half sounded as though it was more of the same - Motherwell playing some nice football at times but sadly unable to break down the home side's defence.  Dundee had a few further chances in the second 45 mins but didn't add to their tally and ran out 2-0 winners.

One other point of note.  Dirk Lehmann was apparently substituted late on after picking up an injury and is believed to be doubtful for the Celtic game on Tuesday.

Team: Woods, Ready, Deloumeaux, Strong, Corrigan, Martinez (Soloy 71), Lasley, McFadden, Hammell, Ferrere (Elliott 71), Lehmann (Adams 81).
Subs not used: Brown, Pearson.

Recent trialist Gavin Strachan has returned to Coventry this week after failing to impress Eric Black.

Meanwhile, Roberto Martinez says he doesn't want to be next for the chop and aims to impress the management team if, as expected, he replaces Scott Leitch in the side today.  He said:
"The manager has seen how hard I've been working and that has impressed him.  Obviously I'm coming in under far from perfect circumstances.  Scott has been incredible this season and everyone sees what he does for the team on the park.  But he's also a massive influence off it and will be missed.  However, hopefully I can take my chance because I want to be a part of this club."

Reports suggest that for Tuesday night's game against Celtic, the Dave Cooper Stand will be split to accommodate both home and away supporters.  Presumably the club are seeking to maximise revenue from this match by moving all season ticket holders to one area of the stand, while the rest of the seats will be occupied by Celtic supporters.

Meanwhile, it is suggested that next season the South Stand will be closed for all matches except those involving the Old Firm, with visiting supporters being accommodated in the DC Stand.  Presumably this means all Cooper Stand season ticket holders will be requested to move to the East or Main Stands...

Anyone else think its time for a new Fans' Poll?  Yep, thought so....

Should the Dave Cooper Stand be given over to away supporters?
