Stephen Pearson will miss the first two matches after the SPL split following his red card on Tuesday night.  Pearson's dismissal against Celtic resulted in an automatic one-match ban, however he has had 12 points added to his disciplinary record resulting in an additional one-game ban.  His manager, Eric Black, said today:
"Stephen knows he made a big mistake and I'm sure he will learn from it.  To be fair, he's only a young lad and has performed well at times this season since breaking into the first team.  Now he has to show the correct attitude and try to add a bit of consistency to his play."

After watching the game again on video, Black added:
"Celtic played very well, but we gave ourselves problems.  The players have to show who wants to be in the team and a part of things for next season.  One or two of them who haven't been in the starting line-up will now get a chance."

Eric Black has denied claims of a bust-up with Mark Brown.  The goalkeeper apparently stormed out of Fir Park minutes before Tuesday's 4-0 defeat by Celtic after discovering he had been dropped from the squad.  Black decided to hand Frenchman Francois Dubordeau his debut with Stevie Woods on the bench.  But Black denied that his young goalkeeper's spell at Fir Park could be drawing to a close:
"I don't know anything about this so I can't really comment."

Ricky's report of the Celtic game is now available.  He assures me it was a painful one to write, and not even his impromptu TV appearance right at the end of Sky's coverage on Tuesday night could help cheer him up!

Anyone else think its time for a new Fans' Poll?  Yep, thought so....

Should the Dave Cooper Stand be given over to away supporters?
