James McFadden has been named in the full Scotland squad to travel to the Far East next week.  Faddy is one of six non-capped players in the squad to face South Korea on May 16, South Africa on May 20 and a Hong Kong XI on May 23.

Today's Evening Times reports that John Boyle has turned down a bid of just over £1million for the club.  The paper claims that the offer was made by a "wealthy local businessman who has made his millions in property", but Boyle is apparently looking for £3million and the potential buyer will not be re-approaching the club with an increased offer.  The businessman, who has had no previous involvement with any other Scottish clubs, had been in talks with Boyle since Motherwell went into administration.  A source close to the deal is quoted as saying:
"This offer was a good one but John Boyle decided it wasn't enough. The man behind it is very wealthy and has many business interests and it's not an ego- driven move - he has never courted publicity.  He is a local man and had already drawn up realistic plans to get Motherwell back on an even keel - he would have been a hands-on chairman. The club would have been run prudently, with the accent on bringing through the young players who have emerged this season."

Clearly JB must be confident of receiving other offers for the club.  Let's hope he knows what he is doing...
