Ricky's report of the Rangers game is now available.

Today's result: Rangers 4, Motherwell 1

Wasn't at the game today, but it sounds like we took a bit of a doing and the scoreline probably flattered us a little. Being honest, given the injuries and suspensions we have at present, I didn't really expect much else. With the Huns presumably going all out to boost their goal difference, perhaps 4-1 isn't quite the humiliation many of us feared, and at least we managed a consolation goal - albeit an o.g. from Marvin Andrews.

Team (4-4-2): Marshall, Quinn (Keogh 63), Corrigan, Kinniburgh, Fitzpatrick, Paterson, Fagan, Kerr, Foran (Hamilton 79), McDonald, Clarkson.
Subs Not Used: Corr, Britton, Higgins.

Booked: Fagan, Foran, Quinn.

Attendance: 49,495.

Terry Butcher's post-match reaction was as follows:
"The only positive was that we were only beaten 4-1. Considering the number of players we had out it was always going to be difficult for us anyway. And when you go 2-0 down to Rangers, as we normally do this season, there is no way back. We started the second half brightly but conceded the third and fourth goals and after that we were looking at a cricket score. If you take six players out of the Rangers team they might still have won the game against us but it was always going to be hard for us. We came here last season with a much stronger side and lost 4-1 as well so it was never going to happen today for us."

Season Ticket renewal forms have been sent out by the club, and as expected there is a marked rise in prices for 2005/06. My East Stand seat has gone up from £200 to £240, and although it's probably still one of the cheapest season tickets in the SPL it's still a 20% hike. DC Stand holders get an even worse deal, as they've been informed by the club that from next season they'll be relocated to the Main or East Stand for matches against the Old Firm, and the DC Stand allocated to away supporters.

Tickets for the Celtic game went on same from Fir Park on Thursday, and it seems there were a large number of Celtic fans in the queue to purchase briefs for the East and DC Stands. Oh dear...

Marc Fitzpatrick has been named in the Scotland Under-19 squad for a three match mini-tournament involving Greece, Slovakia and Austria.

And speaking of Under-19s, Motherwell's U-19 side were pipped to the league title yesterday despite beating Dunfermline 1-0.
