Tonight's result: Livingston 0, Motherwell 1.

At last, a win!  Sounds like the home side had the better of a poor game, but we began to come into things more later on and got the winner after 73 minutes when David Clarkson headed home after the Livi goalkeeper had failed to gather a cross.  Not surprisingly there were wholesale changes to the side which lost to Dunfermline, with Steven McGarry, Marc Fitzpatrick, Mark Reynolds, Paul Quinn and Robert Donnelly all starting.

Team (4-4-2): Graeme Smith, Fitzpatrick, Reynolds, McLean, Robert Donnelly, Paul Quinn, Kerr, Paterson, Hamilton, McGarry, Clarkson.
Subs: Meldrum, Corrigan, Hammell, McBride, Connolly, Coakley, Soutar.

Motherwell scorer: Clarkson (73).

Booked:

Attendance: 2,283.

Looks like Motherwell will be going on a pre-season tour of Northern Ireland, with matches already lined up against Crusaders on Saturday July 15 and Larne on Friday July 21.  A game against Ballymena is also planned.

Terry Butcher is being linked with the vacant manager's job at Millwall.  Yawn, yawn, yawn...

TB has dismissed reports that he could be set to leave Motherwell, saying:
"I love my job and working with great people at the club.  Every season is a challenge and some years are more challenging than others.  This year, we haven't achieved want I wanted, but it will make me more determined to reach the set targets next season.  We have to achieve much better results and I don't want to finish in the bottom six again. I don't like it.  We were still going for a top-six place a few weeks ago, but, after the split, things have been disappointing.  The heads have gone down because of that, but we will look to build again. We will use this as a springboard.  I still have a plan of what I want to do here and what I want the players to be.  If the players don't want that, then I don't want them - it's as simple as that. I am not holding back."

The club have used the Official Site to appeal to fans not to invade the park after Saturday's game with Dundee United.

It's been a while since we had an opinion poll.  So here goes?

Who is your Player of the Year?
