Eric Black gave an update on the injury situation at today's press conference:
"Ned Kelly has still got his hamstring injury, Scott Leitch still not in the frame and Stephen Pearson suffering from bruised toes.  David Kelly did some light training today but we will need to wait and see what happens tomorrow. Scott Leitch is training a wee bit but mainly in the pool and working with John Porteous, our Physio.

"I think Scott (Leitch) had an outstanding game last week, probably the best since we came to the club and he is definitely someone we can do with in our team."

Looking forward to the Killie game on Saturday, he added:
"If Kilmarnock lack confidence and don’t play well then we have to adopt the same attitude as we have over our past few games. We need to win games but we have been a bit unfortunate in that we have had four away games since taking over and have narrowly missed out on taking the three points.

"Every game is important whether it be at home or away at Kilmarnock or Celtic Park."

Eric was asked how he assessed his start as Motherwell manager:
"Obviously we would have hoped to have some more points. We deserved to take something from the game last week and if we continue with the same attitude then we will take points from matches."

When asked if he plans to strengthen the squad, he replied:
"I think we are always wanting to strengthen our squad but only if players become available who we think would be an asset. At the moment we only have two natural strikers so if we were going to bring in anyone it could be in this position.

When asked about his trip down south to watch Steve Basham, Eric would only say:
"Yes, he played but whether he is a signing target for us is another matter."

Eric went on to say that he won't have a new striker in place for Saturday.

According to the 'Well boss, new signing Eric Deloumeaux is settling in well and is in contention for a starting place at Rugby Park:
"His English is a lot better than I thought, he is 28 years old and has settled in very well with the other players. He is a good player and settled in quickly when he came on last Saturday."

Karl Ready was also at the press conference, and said that he was looking forward to the trip to Ayrshire:
"It was a very interesting and physical game against them here so I am looking forward to playing the match on Saturday. Since last time we have gelled together and it has taken a bit longer but we are doing much better now. It also took time for the new lads to get to know each other and the lads who were already here."
