Eric Black heaped praise on his players following the 1-0 win over Dunfermline yesterday:
"We're absolutely delighted with our win and especially the application and effort of our players. That's three games in one week. We have worked very, very hard. This was my first game in front of the home fans and we wanted to impress them. And, if nothing else, they saw a team who were committed from the first whistle to the last. You can't change a lot in only two weeks. It takes time. We're still around the bottom of the league but this win was very positive. If we can continue to win our home games, then we can take it from there."

We knew it was a possibility that they would end up playing with four forwards. But our back four were immense and coped very well when they went one for one. We had four or five chances to sew the game up at the end and Stuart Elliott had a few chances which, on another day, could have left him with three or four goals. But we have to be pleased with the result and our target at the moment is to get ourselves out of this lowly league position."

Meanwhile, Greg Strong praised the management team's part in the goal that beat the Pars:
"It's something we've worked on since Eric and Terry have came in and that's twice it's paid off. Karl Ready scored against Dundee and I scored this one. Obviously other teams have seen it now and it might not work too well in the future. From what I can remember the keeper got underneath it and put it into the open goal from a tight angle. It was a great ball in and I was fortunate enough to get on the end of it. We were under pressure but the main thing is the three points. It doesn't matter how you get them. Obviously we were hanging on at the end when they pushed four men up front but the lads held on. It's given us a great boost. It was a game we had to win. If Dunfermline had beaten us the gap would have grown but now we've overtaken them."

"The atmosphere in the dressing room is superb. Since the gaffer, Terry and Chris McCart have arrived at the club, they've brought a confidence and belief with them which has rubbed off on the lads. It's such a relaxed and happy place now. The players are looking forward to coming in to training and I think it's showed in the last two performances. There have been no dramatic changes. I think they're going to ease themselves into the job. They are not the type of people to come in and change everything completely, they'll do things in stages. Obviously there will be changes but first and foremost they are making the players believe in themselves. Confidence is a big thing in football and they've given us a lot of it. There's a lot of quality in the club and we're a very young squad. At the beginning of the season we had a lot of new players and a lot of young players and it was always going to take time. But winning games breeds confidence and we have to look forward to next week."
