Ricky's report of the Hibernian game is now available.

James McFadden has escaped any further SFA action over the alleged stamping incident involving Hibs' Derek Townsley.  It was thought that video evidence might be used against the striker, but the SFA's head of discipline said today:
"The matter was dealt with by the referee and the player was cautioned for his actions in the incident.  That now brings the matter to a close. The player's misconduct was dealt with there and then by the caution and we can't quite go beyond what the referee decides."

However, David Partridge and Daniel Sengewald will both be suspended for an additional match following their red cards on Saturday.  The pair will automatically miss the Celtic game, but after crossing the disciplinary threshold of 18 points, they will also sit out the trip to Pittodrie on Dec 7th.

Motherwell have now amassed five red cards and 44 yellow cards in the 16 games so far this season, and the SFA head of discipline continued:
"The disciplinary records of all the clubs are reviewed twice a year and the January meeting of the committee will review the clubs' records for the first half of the season to the end of December.  And come the end of the season the full record will be reviewed next summer and if a club finds itself in a position where action needs to be imposed then that will be imposed.  We've not yet reached the end point for the first half of the season, but we will see in January what their record is like."

The forthcoming game at Parkhead has been put back 24 hours to the Sunday as Celtic are in UEFA Cup action on Thursday night.  Kick off is at 3pm.

Time for a new opinion poll!

Who do you blame for the club's current predicament?
