Stevie Hammell has dropped a broad hint that he might be leaving Motherwell. Hammell is out of contract at the end of the season and has been stalling on signing the new deal offered to him. He said:
"I have not turned anything down yet. Motherwell offered me two years after this season. I am still thinking about it because it is a massive decision. I have to be happy and everything has to be right for me, so I am not going to rush.

"It is good to see people coming to watch the games and there is a lot of attention on us. Stephen (Pearson) and the rest of the lads at Motherwell have been playing really well so it is not a surprise.

"It is hard for the manager with the players being watched by other clubs. It is good for the club but also bad for them in a way. The young boys are playing brilliantly well, but they have not got long-term contracts. It might be better if they sell those players in the winter rather than lose them for next to nothing."

Best of luck to intrepid Motherwell fans Ricky Mullen, Peter Elder, Geoff 'Baby' Nicholson, Keith Brown, Dave Wardrope, David 'Frazzle' Fraser and Alan Burrows who will be appearing on Sky's Soccer AM as the Fans of the Week on Saturday morning!
