Jason Dair could be out for a couple of weeks with a groin injury, although Alex Burns has now returned to full training following his foot injury and could feature in the next Under-21 match.

Speaking of the Under-21s, they drew 0-0 with Aberdeen at Fir Park on Monday night.

Team: Corr, Ballantyne, Higgins, MacDonald, Kinniburgh, Quinn, Barkey, Fagan (Russell), Scott, Wright, Ftizpatrick.
Subs not used: Ewings, Donnolly, Neville and Coakley.

The club have confirmed that former 'Well player Phil O'Donnell has been offered training facilities at Fir Park.  Terry Butcher is quoted as saying:
"We are not even talking about contracts, but he has done well in training, although he can’t believe the speed and tempo that we train at. Having said that, he is enjoying it and is glad to be back."

However, even if things work out for O'Donnell in training, TB will be unable to field him in an Under-21 game:
"We can't even get the chance to watch him in a game as a trialist in the Under 21s as he would have to sign a short term contract which means he can’t move again in the year as FIFA only allow one international transfer in a year for a player.  Rather than FIFA helping players finding employment they are restricting their opportunities. Free agents need to get games to get a contract but they need to get a contract to get games."

This week's club to be linked with Stephen Pearson is.........Manchester United!

Four of our youth players, Adam Coakley, Kenny Connolly, Mark Quinn and Philip Reid, have been named in the Scotland Under-17 squad for a preparatory gathering at Largs.

Things definitely must be looking up for Motherwell - we even got some positive press in the Daily Record today!

The referee for Saturday's game at Dundee is Iain Brines.
