Today's Sun reports that Ian McCall is now the clear favourite to land the manager's job.  Apparently the Airdrie boss was interviewed for the position over the weekend, and he told friends he was "very happy" with the way things went.

Pat Nevin hopes to present his shortlist of five candidates to the Motherwell board on Thursday.

The Sun also reports that another of our supposed targets, Paul Sturrock is about to sign an extension to his contract with Plymouth Argyle that will tie him to the club until 2006.
